Student of the Month

October 2025 - Shianna Duda

Shianna Duda is an incredibly dedicated fifth-year Exercise Science student who excels both academically and within the community. She has consistently earned a place on the Dean’s List throughout her studies at Acadia, maintaining an excellent GPA while balancing numerous extracurricular commitments.

Shianna is always eager to take on new challenges and demonstrates her commitment through volunteering, supporting athletic programs, and tutoring. She plays a key role with the Men’s Soccer Team as the senior Strength and Conditioning student. She is currently completing her Ex Sci-practicum hours with the Acadia Active Aging program, along with the Men’s Soccer team. She has also previously contributed her time to the S.M.I.L.E. program on Friday nights and Saturday mornings.

Beyond her academics and volunteer work, Shianna is a valuable resource at the ASK Help Centre, where she spends three days each week assisting her peers with Kinesiology-related questions. When she is not studying or volunteering, she can often be found in the gym, further demonstrating her passion for health and wellness.

Shianna is not only hardworking and committed but also kind, welcoming, and supportive of those around her. She is very approachable and a friendly face across campus. Shianna’s ability to balance her many commitments, along with being an outstanding student, is truly admirable.

Congratulations Shianna!
