In the fall of 2001, the School of Kinesiology unveiled three new laboratories for the study of Kinesiology. Labs are open to students Monday to Sunday during the Academic year.
Students are expected to attend and even participate during scheduled lab times. Students can make that connection between what they have learned in the classroom and the real world by actually using the technology that is available to them. Students are encouraged to make some time available in order to get hands on experience with the equipment and software programs we have available. Familiarity with the latest technology is an essential skill all Kinesiology students should possess. Excluding regularly scheduled lab times, students are permitted to reserve private lab time (Mon-Sun) for research purposes, practice sessions, testing, and physiological assessments. If you would like to reserve a lab time click here, or drop in to lab AAC-396 to arrange a time. The electronic swipe card key needed to gain direct access to all labs must be arranged through Kim Vaughan.
Students may sign out lab equipment in person for research purposes, practice sessions, testing, and physiological assessments. Your student ID will be recorded as will the condition of the items required. The loan period is 24 hours.
Students are encouraged to power up and operate the vast array of devices and software packages in our labs. To learn more about the safe operation of any piece of laboratory equipment or system click here to arrange an appointment, or drop in to lab AAC-396 to arrange a time.
