Hannah Miller Memorial Fund

Hannah Miller was a 7 year old minor hockey player in the Acadia Minor Hockey Association (AMHA) Quick Start program. She loved to play hockey and her enthusiasm was evident to everyone.

In the spring of 2005, shortly after the end of her first hockey season, she was tragically killed in a car accident in Port Williams. To perpetuate her love of hockey this fund was established in her memory.   In March 2006, the 1st Annual Hannah Miller Memorial Hockey Tournament was organized by Acadia University Recreation Management students.

This has evolved into an annual tournament at March Break for IP1 and IP2 kids at the Acadia Rink. It is now organized by Community Development and Kinesiology students as part of a course in the tournament and special events management.

The 13th Annual Hannah Miller Memorial Hockey Tournament will be held on Sunday, March 11th, 2018.
