Convocation is a significant event in your academic career, and Convocation weekend activities are planned with you, the graduating student, in mind. We hope you will enjoy this special time. Dates for 2017 are set for Sunday, May 14 and Monday, May 15 at Convocation Hall.
Details for Convocation 2017 are still being finalized. Convocation 2016 is still listed below, to give you a sense of what to expect during the 2017 weekend.
There are three ceremonies:
Reception at the Sheldon L. Fountain Learning Commons immediately following each Convocation ceremony.
Each of the Convocation ceremonies will be live-streamed on Acadia’s Alumni Affairs Web site. The broadcast will go live approximately 20 minutes prior to the individual ceremonies on their respective dates.
All graduating students receive complimentary tickets to their ceremony. Students will receive an email in late January/early February regarding the process for tickets, academic attire, etc.
Convocation information updates will be emailed via the "Potential Grad" list. Potential Grad emails are sent to all students who have applied to graduate. If you are currently registered in courses, these messages will go to your Acadia student email address. If you are not currently registered in courses, these messages will be delivered to the alternate email address on record with the Registrar's Office. If you have applied to graduate but are not receiving Potential Grad emails, please check your contact information with the Registrar's Office.
