 Acadia Active Aging Program

Exercise sessions with the aim of improving your physical fitness and health through group exercise and individualized programs.

  

All exercise sessions will be held in the Acadia Arena Complex. The group will meet three times per week and focus on improving:

  • Aerobic (cardio-respiratory) fitness
  • Strength and Power
  • Flexibility
  • Balance and Coordination
  • and most importantly, your HEALTH!

RETURNING PARTICIPANTS - TESTING DAY

FRIDAY JAN. 20TH  - Please arrive in appropriate dress with inside shoes and make payment before entering the gym.  If your emergency contact or medical information needs to be changed, please let us know at the testing.

 

Winter 2017 Session Details:

Monday, Wednesday and Fridays  9:30am - 10:20am

Registration Date: January 20, 2017

Program Dates:  January 23, 2017 - April 5, 2017

(no program Feb. 20, 22, 24)

 

Registration Process:

All those who would like to enrol in the program MUST attend the registration, and complete a fitness assessment (during registration).  Registration will be on a first come first serve basis, limited spaces available.   Below are the registration forms available at the registration but if you would like to complete them at home and bring to the registration day that would be wonderful.

Program Fees:

The cost of this program is $80 per year or $50 per semester.  Program parking passes are available for $20 (if purchasing a parking pass, please bring your vehicle information including license plate number).


What to Wear and Bring:

Participants must have indoor sneakers and wear comfortable clothing.  It is recommended to bring a full water-bottle.
